Mindful chess

It could be something else, or it could be ADHD. I seldom can fully immerse myself in any game of chess—the longer the game, the quicker I lose interest while the game progresses.

For this particular game, I tried to fully immerse myself, concentrate and ponder my moves while closely observing my opponent’s intentions. The results were good—Stockfish concurs.

According to Stockfish, I made zero mistakes, zero blunders and missed no wins. I’ve been here before, but with a much lower Elo. I want to continue playing mindfully and hopefully get my Elo to 1400 by the end of the year.

I’m pleased with this win.
